Your Needs as a Trainee Support on your Course

When you’re embarking on a new learning experience, it’s good to know that you’ll have access to the support you need when you need it. All our courses are run by a team of experienced trainers, led by the Course Director, who’ll be your key contact for all course related and pastoral issues. On a daily basis, you’ll find that most of the individual help you’ll need relates to your classroom teaching practice: What to teach, how to teach it, and so on. For this you will have your own teaching practice tutor, who will provide both spoken and written feedback on your lessons and suggestions for your next lesson at the end of feedback.

You’ll also have a course trainer present to help you during the timetabled Preparation for Teaching sessions, able to provide suggestions, recommend coursebooks or activities. For the first week all teaching practice tutors are available for Preparation for Teaching, for the second and third weeks, one of us is there, and by the last week, we hope, you’ll be preparing without the need for direct help; but you can still ask questions, and consult us if needed.

The Training 4 TEFL Course Administrator will look after you once you’ve enrolled until your course starts, available 9-6 Monday to Friday to answer questions, provide advice and forward other enquiries to the training team. The Course Administrator will also help you once you’ve completed your course, getting your certificates to you, providing references and other advice. We also have an experienced team working at our reception, who are also available to help you with any queries you might have regarding school facilities.

As part of our ethos at Training 4 TEFL, we also encourage trainees to see each other as resources; you are undergoing this learning experience together, and will learn more if you benefit from each other’s strengths, and help with weaknesses. The emotional support you can provide your colleagues is also useful, and you’re sure to make friends for life!
