The Training 4 TEFL teacher trainers are all highly-qualified English teachers, and approved by Trinity College London as teacher trainers. Our experience spans a combined total of 12 countries across 5 continents and almost every context in which English is taught as a foreign language, both worldwide and in the UK. We take our work seriously, meaning that we understand the importance of enjoyment and communication in the learning process.

Samantha Tring: Director of Teacher Training

Sam is a Cambridge DELTA-qualified teacher trainer with extensive teaching experience in both the UK and New Zealand, where she helped run a  language school for 2 years. Here in the UK, she has provided professional development support for both new and established language teachers and has written materials for Young Learner courses. She has been training teachers at Training 4 TEFL for over three years and continues to learn, implement and develop new techniques and approaches on the training course.

"Patience, understanding and knowledge are the key attributes of a good teacher. Having fun with the students and trainees ensures we get the most out of all the lessons and training sessions together. It is always satisfying to see the positive progress of trainees and students over such a short time."

Stephanie Armstrong: Teacher Trainer

Trainers Dylan Gates

Stephanie has over 15 years of teaching experience, including running her own language school in Italy which specialised in both General English and Business English. She has extensive knowledge on areas such as learner motivation, humanistic language learning and, most importantly, making lessons fun. If you hear laughter echoing out along the corridors of the school, it's almost certainly coming from Steph's classroom!

“To be a good teacher you need to have a positive attitude, enthusiasm and patience, and the ability to impart  knowledge in a creative and engaging environment, guiding and supporting your learners along the way in order for them to develop and flourish into confident language users. And the same is true about trainee teachers. The element of fun is an essential part of all of my lessons!”

Laura Manzie: Teacher Trainer

Cambridge DELTA qualified, Laura has had a varied teaching career that ranges from teaching 4 year olds the alphabet in Sri Lanka to training teachers in Vietnam. She has considerable experience in Academic English syllabus and materials design, has taught Exam Preparation for both IELTS and TOEFL and is a qualified IELTS examiner.

“Enabling people to discover things for themselves and bringing the real world into the classroom are at the core of my approach whether with language learners or trainee teachers. The Trinity training course is a challenging but enjoyable journey and it’s great seeing the trainees develop over the four weeks they are with us!”
